Imagine the Prehistoric Human. Inhabiting a world which is harsh and unforgiving. Possessing the base survival instinct that allows them to endure whilst also possessing a level of consciousness previously unknown.
Spirituality and creativity go hand in hand, without creativity the vast wealth of spiritual practice wouldn't exist. The instinct of all living creatures is to protect themselves; in the case of Humans, this instinct for self-preservation manifests itself physically and spiritually.

 Defender was produced in the development process for the exhibition Souzou: Unravel and Reveal.

 

 Defender has been shown at the Sam Scorer Gallery in Lincoln in 2015 and is now inhabited by the Artist's Cat.
